Happy Friday! Yesterday marked the first anniversary of my blog – Happy Birthday Hoosier Baker! In honor of this occasion I baked a cake, well actually three cakes as you can see the cake layers in the picture above. I will be sharing this cake recipe soon but I wanted to share some of my favorite posts over the past year (not easy to choose because I only post food I love). I also wanted to say thanks to my readers and everyone who has posted a comment, liked Hoosier Baker on Facebook, or has tried a recipe. I started this blog to share my passion for baking and cooking and to rekindle my photography passion. I am always excited to see a new comment, email, or person who has liked Hoosier Baker on Facebook. I feel like I have grown with my baking and cooking and can’t wait to try more recipes this year. I just got back from Paris (what an amazing city!!) and am so inspired by the fabulous food we tasted and saw. I can’t wait to try some new French recipes. As always, I love hearing from my readers so please leave comments and like Hoosier Baker on Facebook 😉

A new day and some new changes to Hoosier Baker…
I promise there will be more food posts since this is a blog about food 😉 Thanks for your patience as I updated the layout of the blog. Just a few changes to point out
1) As requested, you can now subscribe to the blog by email. You will be updated daily IF Hoosier Baker is updated.
2) Hoosier Baker is now on Facebook! Like us and you can also keep updated via Facebook. You can “Like” Hoosier Baker from our like box here on the webpage (see on the right side of the page). You can also subscribe to the RSS feeds and posts.
3) The option to subscribe via email and be a fan via facebook have replaced the Followers option. I enjoy seeing my lovely followers but I have had more requests about providing an option to follow via email and it simplifies the layout of the blog. Those of you following should still be able to see the feed however you viewed it (google dashboard, etc).
4) I have removed the archives but you can still search by labels. Again, hoping this simplifies the layout.

Hoosier Baker is baking up some changes. The blog format is going to change a bit so please be patient as changes are made. Can’t wait for the new product to be tasted I mean tested 😉
Happy New Year!! I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and/or Happy Hanukkah! I love holidays as they bring together family and friends. I haven’t been blogging long but have already had some changes in mind that I wanted to make to Hoosier Baker and felt the New Year would be a perfect time. As you can see the design/layout has changed a bit. I know there has been some trouble following the blog so I hope the new “subscribe” function will enable anyone having trouble signing-up to be a follower to still follow the blog. I will be trying some other new features in the near future too. I wish you all a happy, healthy, and prosperous new year!
